THAILAND - Ko Lanta - Part 3
The next morning Eve, the French girl, came over and we ate breakfast in the room before leaving to go do yoga in the grass part of the fancy resort we went the first day on the island. The bike ride know was even harder to balance with 3 poeple! But I managed well I guess. No one seemed to think anthing of us random girls on the property so we had a nice hour long session of streching. Before we left we looked up videos to try and attempt to do a 3 person acro yoga pose... lets just say it didn't end well... We headed back to the room for some snacks and then left quickly to go to the other side of the island to "Old Town" where there were some nice resturants and stores. The road there was very difficult to manage with 3 people on all the turns. My hands were soar from holding the brake. Eve kept telling me to slow down on turns but I was trying my hardest but the brakes weren't working! There was nothing I could do. Before we got to town we stopped at local handmade silver jewlery store which was cool to see. In town we parked the bike and got to our shopping! After a few hours of looking around we built up our appiteite to eat at a seafront resturant. Monica and I ordered but Eve took forever and she ordered after we got our food. I, once again, got next to nothing for my meal and Moni got curry again. And when Eve got her food she was anything but happy... She complained so hard to even the manager came out and she went into the kitchen to tell them that she wanted spinach on her plate. The resturant gave her a plate of just greens and she told them to take it away because she didn't even want it. Everyone was looking at us and Moni and I just kept quiet. So embaressing. Its amazing how people have a hidden side to them. All I wanted to do was pay and get the hell out of there. We went back to the stores to get our suveniers and head back to the other side of the island for sunset. On the road back both Moni and Eve had to get off the bike so I could drive up a hill without the bike breaking down. We went straight to the beach to catch the sun set and dance to music. We all got a coconut to eat as well which was so good to scoop out the fresh flesh and drink the cold water. We did some more yoga and swam a bit. We drove to the store to get some beer to drink back at the bungalow with our dinner. At dinner Eve once again took forever to order and got at least pasta which she enjoyed. We talked to the 2 guys sitting next to us ( make note of the Belgium guy because I would later go on to see him multiple ties throughout my trip and eventually travel with him). At the next table there was a group of forigners smoking some weed which I had no interest in joinging them but we chatted for a little bit before heading back to the room to sleep early since we had to get up to leave the island early, Eve moved in that night to sleep in the extra bed...
